new to forum, looking for thoughts on my tpi build
hey guys, im nick from wi, new to the forum. i dont currently own an f-body, im actually a 4x4 truck guy, but im into TPI and im actually working on tpi build for my current truck project. this is the best forum i found for tpi info. just looking for some thoughts on it, maybe some advice. the build is already actually basically done, just a few little things left to be finished up. here's the parts list:
-350 4 bolt main block, bored .030 over
-scat forged 383 rotating assy, 5.7 h-beam rods, speed pro coated bearings
-forged flat top pistons
-lunati VOODOO 60103 cam
-edelbrock performer E-TEC heads (2.02/1.60, 64cc)
-edelbrock performer hi-flo TPI base
-bosch injectors
-summit dual 58mm tb
-K&N filter
-air foil
-EGR block off
-full port match and polish on heads & intake
-MSD ignition
-HOOKER long tube headers
-custom PCM tune
-full MAP style TPI setup from '86
-full roller valvetrain, 1.6 ratio rockers
-adjustable FPR
-im sure i missed a few other things, but you get the idea. any ideas/comments are welcome and appreciated. one thing id like to know, if possible, any thoughts on what kinda numbers HP and torque wise this thing might put out? any other little tricks i can do to maximize performance of this would be helpful, im a TPI newb so...
btw, this is going to like any other TBI to TPI coversion like on an F-Body, its going in a '95 GMC. so any suggestions there would be cool too.
thanks,
nick

The cam # shows hydraulic flat tappet, either Im wrong or you dont have a full roller valve train. Anyhow dont expect for a bunch of people to chime in after 20 minutes from your orginal post. Whats your compression? You can put your info into a computer site (so Ive heard)which will give you a good estimae. If I had to guess the torque @410/ 370hp. Im not very qualified to answer your Q though
Re: new to forum, looking for thoughts on my tpi build
thanks. i guess i didnt really mean a full roller. what i meant was the rockers are full rollers. do you know what that site was or no?
btw, sorry about bumpin it, im used to fullsizechevy where someone replies in like 5 seconds after you post. its freaky fast lol guess it kinda spoiled me.

judjing by your list, looks like you have all the right stuff for your tpi build.
I could chat all day about 4x4 tpi setups but,you own a truck so,thats not allowed here on TGO.
If you owned a 82-92 camaro/firebird 4x4 then yes,that would be ok.

cool. so for my 4x4 iroc, do you think this combo would be capable of my goal, which is in the area of 475HP/520lb/ft. the guy at my local machine shop/race shop said he thinks this is realistic with the right tune, but what do y'all who know TPIs think?

People harp on this, but its still a TPI and a TPI build. WHO REALLY CARES WHAT ITS IN? It is good tech and adds to the information database. Who doesn't appreciate increasing the already racious mid-range of the TPI for a heavy street driven F-body. TPI conversion cars and builds probably out-number TPI F-bodies 2:1 now, so why limit your database because of what its installed in. Remember Vettes cam with TPI too and there are plenty of FAST TPI Vettes out there that we could take lessons from.
