Re: cam questions
Usually you can get away with reusing lifters on roller motors, its flat
tappet cams/lifters that can get you into trouble. I like to replace
whatever I can when upgrading internal parts. How many miles are
on the lifters?
How good condition are the heads?

Re: cam questions
I still have my stock push rods and stock lifters, I have 100,000 miles on my 305.
I reused them, motor runs good. No problems at all.
I know Crane is out of business, but the cam I used is in my sig.

Re: cam questions
it is my first mods which will all be done at one time. which will be a new cam, plus a new metal cam gear, an MSD dizzy and blaster coil, gunna also do hearders and y pipe, if budget allowing, a cat back. there is only about 10k on the motor, it was replaced a few years back. there is no valve tick or anything from the motor, runs strong and quiet.

Yeah its hard to pull out a good running motor. My 305 runs great.
But I do have a 350 bored .040 waiting in its place
