What do u guys think i will run
Its a 89 305 stock motor, has K & N filter, modded the filter box, bypassed the throttle body coolant passage, junk off the shelf chip, TPIS airfoil, all smog removed, base timing at 8*, no cat, dynomax cat back, WCt5 aftermarket clutch (not sure on brand was in when i got car), strut tower brace, sub frame connectors, 3.45 posi, good street tires
Any other cheap upgrades i could do to get a little more out of it?
Will i be able to squeeze a high 13 out of her? No way i can get to the track anytime soon and kinda curious

From my experience with TPIs will not be close to the 13s, High 14s at best. That is if you have a decent 60' time.

Re: What do u guys think i will run
you should be at high or mid 14s. with my current mods i'd run mid to low 14s if i could get a good 60 foot which i cant, don't you just love 3.08s ...... lol.\
when i first got mine i ran 15.1 with 2.43 60 footer (dead tires, running 46 psi fuel pressure with 22lb hour injectors, and a bad state of tune).
mine still runs far from perfect but fp is now at 40lbs and timing set to 6* btdc. new plugs wires distributor aluminum waterpump 1.6 ratio roller rockers, march 2 pc underdrives, a/c delete, smog delete.
i feel confident i would brake into high 14s currently with the newest combination, with my still massive rearend hop issue. although hopefully i'll soon find out, i just need to replace my center link, passenger side spindle, lca's and buy lca relocation brackets then hopefully i can take it to the track again before i install my ported heads intake and cam.

Re: What do u guys think i will run
i guess i need to quit being cheap and spend a little money lol. I have thought about the underdrive pulleys just not sure what it will do with my alternator and the radio. Haven't done the rockers yet but thats something i plan to do soon. Maybe i should look into a set of headers and go from there. I actually think i could pull a decent 60ft my cars does pretty good off the line has no wheel hop. I gotta get to the track one of these years

With out a good tire your ET will not be all that great even if you trap speed is decent. I would sugest getting a set of headers it was on of the biggest dollar for dollar impovement I made.

Don't have DRs do have a good set of street tires though (federal SS595) they seem to do pretty good. Yes a set of headers are on the wish list along with a new Ypipe

Re: What do u guys think i will run
after you do the headers next thing i would do is 1.6 roller rockers that was my only other noticable sotp mod....... i mean throttle response was improved noticably, with my underdrives as well as engine spool up ,but other than that...... not realy a noticable gain in power.
i personally wouldnt waste money on things like air filters and air foils and underdrives unless you get a hell of a deal on them thats why i bought mine....... the gain isnt noticable.
also dont take my quarter mile times to wholeheartedly you should be even or better than me from factory.....
i have 200k on my springs and rearend and a geometry issue from oversizing my rear tires ,which cause massive rearend hop. if that wasn't enough it is running tbi heads 187 casting with a factory tpi computer tune.... also its a jasper rebuilt motor so compression could be as far as a point off from what i've seen...... (rebuilder pistons are all over the place size wise and head gasket size, ammount milled off the head so on makes a huge difference.

Re: What do u guys think i will run
well the airfoil filter chip clutch and the exhaust was done when i got the car. I removed all the smog, cat, bypassed the TB, did the air box and probably a few other things i can't think of, i haven't really spent much money on mods since i got it just been trying to get the best out of what i had
SO headers before rockers?
SO headers before rockers?

Re: What do u guys think i will run
my headers were on when i bought the car so i cant 100% comment on the difference ,but i do agree i think it would be a larger gain than with the rockers from what i've been told and seen myself.......
the rockers are a great mod for the slightly larger cam'd motors, but on the l03 or lg4 engine they are almost wasted.
although i must admit its a very good bang for your buck still. 200 bucks for rockers and you get a true 10hp or so lower oil temps so on ,but its not just at peak rpm its across the range as you are increasing camshaft lift and duration throughout the range not just on a top end, exhausts and intake mods things such as that tend to only increase the upper end or peak power, because there is no restriction until you realy wind it out..
