car stalling problem

Transmission: 700r4
car stalling problem
So about a month ago my car starts hesitating when tryin to accelerate. Then it started stalling sometimes a problem which got worse. It started not starting so I hit gas tank with hammer and it would start. Changed my fuel pump and filter today. car now starts but still stalling out? what should I check next? thnx

check your fuel pump relay. Could be sticking
