This weekend we had a different car at the dyno.

Bill's '91 Z28 350 auto (burnout91)

Low mileage 350 (stock block) w/AFR 195 heads, Comp XFI 268 cam, and my headers (shorty's) and custom exhaust.

Using a ported HSR, 24# injectors (maxed them out @ 109% duty cycle)
and modded air box.

The numbers speak for themselves.

 

Mine vs. Bill's, which would you rather have if both were running 3.73's.

 

bills, because thats going to be close to my setup.

if he had bigger injectors could he push some more power? ive heard 24s are kind small for a 350, especially with his setup. I have 24s and wondering if i should go bigger..

 

Bills car was amazing, it screamed when Don would get on it. Very nicely put together. Definitely gives us numbers to aim for, i myself was blown away and amazed by how good it performed, motivates me to finish my HSR build myself.

oh by the way i'l take Bills car, I like camaro's more lol, but seriosuly, Don have you driven Bills car on the street, im sure your car would is more fun on the street with the highter torque curve right,

 

Can't say.....Who is red & who is blue? Which line is HP, which line is torque?

 

Your's, better overall tune. Bills leans out at the top end. Your's also has more area under the power curve more of the time.

 

Bill was running out of injector with a 109% duty cycle. He is going to install 30# injectors.

 

Good thing for us that no one makes 30# injectors any more!!!

were those the new AFR's? if so comp or street ports?

 

AFR 195 Eliminators; street (not comp) ports.

 

I have to say you California guys sure can get it done. Smog legal too!
I'm lucky to produce those numbers at the crank.

 

MY HSR will have a functional EGR system adapted to it in the near future.
