Corrected Timing and Runs Worse
I corrected the timing on my 1986 305 tpi, and it now seems to have less power than before, and the engine cranks longer before it starts now, too. Everything else is adjusted correctly, too (tps, iac), and the car feels quite a bit more sluggish. I set my timing light to 6* and set the distributor cap so the timing mark is right in the center of the largest "V" valley, and I unplugged the brown wire on the passenger side near the firewall, before I checked and set the timing. I don't get why it has less power now and also is slower to start up, when the timing is set to the correct * btdc. Weird.

Re: Changed Timing and Runs Worse
It seems like I should just advance it back to where it was, right around 7-8 degrees btdc.
