Throttle Body size?

I feel stupid for asking this but does anybody know the stock/factory size throttle body for a '88 IROC LB9 (305 TPI)? I'm looking to get a new one soon and i wanna go bigger but i'm wondering what would be the best size to get. Has anybody put a couple on their LB9 and knows which size is better? 52or 58mm? Thanks for any help guys.

Re: Throttle Body size?

Need some good mods to go above stock 48mm on a 350
The GMPP RamJet 502 ci big block comes with the same 48mm TB so I wouldn't be wasting your $$$ with larger on a 305

Re: Throttle Body size?

48mm is stock. I have a 52mm on my car and it made no difference in performance. You would be better porting your plenum, smooth out the bumps inside. Once you build up the motor a bigger throttle body would be in order.

Re: Throttle Body size?

Thanks for all the help guys. I'll hold off on the throttle body. Maybe look at something else.
