ive got a 87 z28 350 tpi got new fuel pump made sure its getting gas to the rails all the spark plugs look pretty good and its getting fire as long as you hold the key good compression all vacumes seem to be good but it cuts right back off every time i get it to crank any suggestions

 

Checked fuel pressure at rails with gauge?

 

yeah its got about 20 pounds

 

TPI needs 40psi fuel pressure when cranking.

 

cleaned out fuel rails and fuel lines and gas tank got it up to 40 psi but still have same problem i messed with the distributer a little bit and got it to stay crunk for about 10 seconds but still cuts back off tried to give a little gas before it cuts off but it doesnt make a difference

 

finally got it running had a wire crossed

 

does anyone know if a 140 mph speedometer out of a 1986 camero will fit and hook up and work right in 1987 z28 with a 85 mph speedometer? if so please let me know thanks

 

The speedos are both mechanical and should be interchangable.
