Seller says it's running a bit rich ... Really now?!
Due to what was a great price for a solid '92 Z28 convertible 5-speed today, I took a 3rd Gen off another guy's hands. I've always loved 3rd Gens and I'm itching to drop a forced induction BBC into this one.
The seller said it runs rich - That's a huge understatement. It barely stays running, and leaves two big soot stains wherever it sits when you try to keep it running. I didn't even drive it home ... Right into storage.
I've not messed with TPI in years, so looks like I found the right forum! I do remember that blindly replacing parts rarely fixes anything, and isn't kind to the wallet either. I'll start diagnosing when I find some free time.

Re: Seller says it's running a bit rich ... Really now?!
Check this out - The pig rich (barely stayed running) condition on my new purchase, '92 droptop, is gone. I always start with the easy (and cheap) stuff first before going crazy.
The car needed a two-way check valve ($6) which allowed it to run, albeit still rich. From there, replaced the coolant temperature sensor ($20), and she's purring like a kitten now.
