Help Switching fom roller block to flat tappet

Help Switching fom roller block to flat tappet

ok i have a 91 z28 just wonderin if the factory cam from the original 305 tpi was only specified to work with the map setup,also im putting in 89 k5 5.7 which i know is not a roller engine would this motor work fine with the map sensor also i have a stage two chip dont know if that helps any advice

Computer doesn't know what engine is underneath the intake
All you need is the correct stock 350 chip for the computer and a knock sensor to suit a 350 MAP engine
( 305 KS is different )

You wanna stay factory roller block. With the non roller block you would have to buy a flat tappet cam, push rods and lifters. Or buy a roller cam made for that block and lifters which cost more money.

From his original post it appears he has a complete 5.7 flat tappet engine; not that he want to swap his roller cam for one in his 305?

yea its a complete engine im just transferring the pulleys and sensors cam has lower duration though will i have any problems wit that since the map setup works off vacumn?
