Just curious as to what heads are stock on an 87 iroc tpi with 305 5 speed setup. I ask because i believe the 081 casting is the stock setup but I found 187 casting heads on the car which are the swirlport tbi heads.

I would suggest that the swirl port heads are better for our TPI Intakes anyway...

 

I did do a search but I didn't come up with any definitive answers as to what came stock. it's a stock motor otherwise but I am pretty sure the 187 heads are not the stock heads. Just looking for a definitive answer on what came stock.

I had 193 SwirlPort's on a TPI 350 "stock replacement heads" I was told for an engine that was blown...
The engine also came with a tiny 305 Cam... 179/194 Duration
with that combo it made 300 ft/lbs at 3100 RPM
I think that the swirl ports are great for Torque especially with our TPI's (which were designed to make Tq anyway...)
