Re: what the best cam?
You can run the LPE216 cam ( info in my sig ) if you swap retainers to allow for more lift clearance and upgrade your springs a bit.
Spring & retainer swaps can be done without removing the heads.
The Vortec V6 spring retainers would give you enough clearance.

Re: what the best cam?
Without mods to the heads? Nothing. Anything bigger you will have to atleast refresh the springs or upgrade them. After that you are looking into tuning issues.
Spend some time researching around.

Re: what the best cam?
or does your car have the "peanut cam" in it? IMO,any of the compucams or Crane computer cams will work just fine.
GM Stock Cams
Model Number .05" Duration 1.5:1 Lift 1.6:1 Lift Lobe Sep. Notes
14093643 202/207 .404/.415 .431/.443 114.5 87 350,305man
10088155 179/194 .350/.384 .373/.410 109deg 87 305 auto
10066049 207/213 .415/.430 .443/.459 117deg 88-89 350,305
10111773 202/207 .413/.428 .441/.457 114.5 90-92 350,305
looks like you have the peanut cam. Notice the small duration. Also remember that you really dont wanna go too big with your new cam either. Keep duration below 220/220 and lift under .470/.470 with LSA of at least 112 or wider (higher). On an otherwise stock Tpi car i would go like 210/216 @.50

$820 wow! you shouldn't need all of that.
Almost all 87s came with roller cam (officially all of the TPI engines did come with roller).
You need a roller cam, some mild upgrade springs, retainers, and you can pick up a good true-roller timing set at your local parts house for around $35.
The cam I suggested is designed specifically for what you have, and so is computer friendly. I would put new seals on during the spring swap.

Re: what the best cam?
There are several specialty tools required to do all the proper checks and measurements.
If you're going DIY on this, then you should stick to a smaller cam, that will install with NO other modifications ( like the one you found at Summit).
Otherwise:
If you want to push it on the camshaft to seek more power, then your best bet is to go ahead and pull the heads and have the proper machine work done for clearance.
All those stock head casting out there have little differences that can be measured. They are not all identical as one would think, and so sometimes issues pop up with one install that did not with another. Things like pushrod interference with the cylinder head can catch you off guard.
It is much easier to do modifications and the required measuring with the heads off of the engine.
Heads off the engine is a perfect time to do some porting that will show power gain throughout the whole RPM range.
__________
You asked about cams with no other modifications, and that camshaft from Summit that you posted the link to should fit that description for you.
I added the other suggestions because you said that you race a lot, so I added options for more power.

You would be very well off to have a reputable shop perform the install for you.

Re: what the best cam?
A stock LT1 / LT4 cam works pretty well, is computer friendly, and can be found used for a really good price. It comes close to maxing out the lift for the stock heads, has good duration, and the LSA is computer friendly. I'm very happy with the performance I get with mine.
Here's one on Ebay now- there are others there as well

A very slight modification will probably have to be done to the cam-gear drive pin on the front of the camshaft so it doesn't scrape the timing cover.
It's easy to do.
