Doing a tune up on the Z28 and need some input.

Doing a tune up on my Z28 and this is going to be the first time for me doing something like this. I plan on doing plugs, wires, oil change, coolant flush, distiputer cap, air filter, oil filter, fuel filter. And was wondering if i should just use all ac delco parts and not bush or other brands? I'm using Mobil 1 5w-30 for oil since that's what i use in my Cadillac. I'm going to have my uncle while i'm doing this just in case if i get confused about something because hes a mechanic. Cars been off the road for a while anything else i should do while the car is up? And for wires i'm looking at some red ones that's all i know so if you can tell me brands you guys use.

Save some money buy AC Delco wires or the MSD StreetFire and basic AC Delco plugs....RTS45.. I think.

That cap come with a rotor? Shouldn't be that much.

You do not need Msd wires, get the regular stock wires for like $20. You do not need an Msd distributor cap either. Get a stock one,but make sure it has brass terminals.Brass doesn't get the corrosion like the regular caps do. Spark plugs should only be like $1.79 each too. Get the regular stock Ac Delco plugs. I would also run regular oil and just change it every 3k.

Yep the Distributor Cap does come with a rotor. Reason i choose those wires is because they were red and i'm trying to get some red under the hood while still making it look stock. Where can i pick up those plugs? I don't see them listed on autozones site.

Do yourself a favor and make sure that cap has brass terminals. Or else you will be cleaning them often. If you don't have headers I recommend the stock AC Delco Rt45

If you have headers then the ac delco rt45 plugs are too long. What plugs and wires are you using now? You are using 90 degree boot wires right?

If you want wires that have 90 degree boots and work with headers go to Napa and order a set of wires for a 1980 Camaro v8. They are like $20. Pull out one of your plugs and see what they are. If you want shorter plugs that also work with headers ,order a set of Bosch 7985 plugs.
