checking for open loop or closed loop ?

I am in the process running the code 13 diagnoses and was wonder how to tell if I am in open loop or closed loop thanks

Jumper aldl. If the cel blinks fast it's open loop, slow is closed (crosscounts)

ok a little confused on the the method for checking code 13 after unplugging the 02 sensor should I run a wire from the o2 sensor wire to the terminal A the ground on the aldl thanks just trying to figure this code out.

13 = O2 circitopen. Unpluig the O2 and w/ a DVM check for continuity between the pinout on the ECM and the O2 wire (will have to extend it to be able to get the 2 probes of the DVM hooked up) The pinout is D7, a purple wire.

or just get a wire and stick it in the oiriginal wir connector for the O2 to be ablt to connect the DVM. A helper holding the wire in may be handy. Personally, I always crimp a weatherpack pin to a wire to tet it but I know not everyone has these male and female weatherpack terminals available. You only need the terminal, not the seal and the housing for a quick check. Maybe your local vatozone or whatever has them and you can grab a couple and crimp one on.
