Fuel injector rebuild service or buy remanufactured?

Hi.
I have eight genuine rochester 5235302 fuel injectors from a used 1988 TPI system I bought.
I checked their resistance and they are all between 16.3 and 16.6 ohms.
So I guess they are all good.

Now my question is, is it better to (or worth to) rebuild these injectors or just buy a new set of rebuilt injectors? I am asking because, the price between rebuild service and buying remanufactured is not so big.

On ebay someone offer rebuild service for $11 per injector (total $88 + shipping)
At the same time, a set of remanufactured injectors are being sold somewhere between $60 and $140.

So what would you guys recommend?

I would personally just buy a set from southbay, use code tg11 for 10% off, if it doesn't work, call em.

Everyone seems to have success with them.

So these injectors are not worth much? Nothing special in them?

I personally and you don't know anything about those "rebuil" injectors on the web. Southbay will back EVERYTHING you buy from them AND give you assistance along the way. You get what you pay for. Just my and others opinion. I bought from them and I'm very happy.

Thanks everyone for the thumbs up. "thelinux" imo you really don't want to keep the stock injectors. They are just so problematic. Get yourself a set of replacement injectors. If we can help you in any way....we will, just let us know

Re: Fuel injector rebuild service or buy remanufactured?

I have a similar post on this on 9/8/2015 "5.0 TPI will not run when pressing gas."
I bought the 19lbs bosh remanufactured injectors from South Bay. They work great, haven't had any issues since I installed them. The guys at South Bay are very helpful too.
The only thing I can say for the injectors is that they are a little louder than the stock ones, they make a ticking noise which I have read other people mention too. I would not let that stop you from buying them though, you can't hear it unless u stand right next to the engine.
Good luck.

If you are going to throw them away, throw them in my trash can, I have never had a set of those go bad.
I'll pay shipping.

So you personally think these are worth to rebuild?

Absolutely, cleaned up and new screens, they probably have a lot of life left.

They are not the dreaded Multecs, but the better earlier injectors.
