Long term storage options & fuel injectors

In the next week I need to prep my 92 to go in my seatrain so I can come back to the US for work. I'm not gonna lie, it could be 3-4 years until I am able to put the interior back together after she was painted a year ago and get her back on the road.

What are my options to save the fuel pump and fuel injectors? I have virtually brand new Bosch III fuel injectors and Walbro pump.

I can only think of 2 options:

A) Put a tiny bit of fresh fuel into the tank, start her up, and let her run out of gas (not good for my Denso heated o2 sensor)

B) Put in a little bit of gas with some sort of fuel stabilizer that will keep the injectors and fuel pump from guming up as the fuel ages. I think my options that I've seen on the island are SeaFoam, MMO, and Sta-Bil.

C) Open to suggestions lol.

Thanks!

Fill the tank full of non-corn fuel and use a stabilizer of choice.
I just fired up my car that had been sitting 4.5 yrs with just regular 93 octane in it and it ran. Took it easy till the old crap was used up and its fine.

Re: Long term storage options & fuel injectors

AWESOME! Thankfully non-ethanol fuel is all there is on the island haha!

I'll go with SeaFoam then, that's my trusted brand and available here. Would you suggest a stronger mixture than what the label might recommend?

At idle or maybe 1,000-1,200 RPM, how long would you think an LB9 would take until all the fuel in the rails and fuel lines has been used and the new fuel with the stabilizer has started going thru the injectors? I would think at least 20-30mins?

Re: Long term storage options & fuel injectors

If you seafoam it, put that in 1st so the fuel will mix it up. The fuel is constantly being cycled through the rails and and back to the tank.

I'm by no means a fuel specialist so what worked for me (in controlled storage) may not work for everyone. I'm not saying the fuel was perfect after that long either but it got the car running and to the gas station.

Full fuel tanks prevent condensation.

Well I can't fill my tank because it's not street legal to drive to a gas station. I will get at least 5 gallons in it though.
