tpi idle issue

87 iroc tpi starts fine idles poorly when cold as it warms up it idles good.sounds like it is sucking air at the maf only when cold.warms up sucking sound goes away.No check engine light,new maf and relays,idle valve,tuned up whats going on !!!

The sounds is more than likely the iac working. The poor cold start could be the ninth injector not adding enough fuel.

I put a build 383 stroker motor out of a 68 vette I put a 87 tpi on it off a 5.7 but now will not idle it dies if it goes blow 1000 rpms idk what to do

If you have a afpr you can try more fuel pressure. Or get a tune for your combination.

Idk, I have done all my own tuning.you should find a tuner that works with datalogging. I would get a starter tune then have a tuner refine the tune off datalogs or find someone local. Starting with a 89 tune to illuminate the ninth injector, disable vats if necessary, egr , air pump etc.

Not with idle you will be able to adjust the min air ( iac count)setting/idle speed. Then adjust the tps.
It sounds like your running to rich or to lean or the timing is too retarded to maintain a idle.
