Failed CA smog please help
I went to smog the Iroc and failed I am not sure what I should troubleshoot any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Car Pecs:
1989 Iroc 5.7 w/rebuilt motor 30,000 miles ago.
New Parts on the car with less than 3,000 miles.
Spark Plug and Wires
Magnaflow CA Catalytic Converter
Recent Oil Change
195 Thermostat

What is your timing at? Also check your egr. The high NO levels suggests your egr isn't functioning properly.

I would target the EGR valve.

Game plan is removing the plenum and replacing the EGR valve, solenoid, and fuel regulator since I am already their and its the original 240,000 mile one, replace the manifold air temperature sensor (spontaneously received a code 25 SES), and verify all vacuum lines. Fingers crossed.

The missing line runs to the bottom of the throttle body. So your egr wasn't getting any vacuum to work. Looks like you found the problem
