1988 Trans Am Dumping Fuel... Noid light is solid

Hey guys,
My 1988 Trans am GTA 5.0 TPI has been down for the last few months and the problem has now been narrowed down to the fuel injectors. The car would start and run for a minute and then stall because it was getting to much gas. When using the noid light it showed the injectors getting power all the time. Since the injectors are getting power all of the time they are continuously dumping gas into the cylinder and flooding out the car. I know the noid light should be blinking since it turns the injectors on and off. What will cause the injectors to stay on?

Thanks

The ecm could be faulty grounding the injectors.

If you unplug the ecm and turn the key on and still have the noid light on the wires to the ecm from the injectors are shorted to ground. This would be the blk/pink and blk / light green wires.

...Or one of the injectors is shorted, grounding the whole lot.

This is a bad situation for the bottom end of the engine. Better drain the engine out really well and replace with some good oil and filter

Measure the resistance between the terminals of each injector(unplugged) . Nominal is, IIRC (check for spec) 16 Ohms. If out of FSM range, replace the bad ones, or the entire set.

The problem has finally been resolved. After changing the ECM and changing a few fuses it came back to life. Something must have shorted out and killed the computer. Thanks for the help guys
