1227165 350TPI DA DATA ERROR IN TUNERPRO RT!!?!

Alright so I guess i have no clue what I'm doing can someone help me?

I have a 1227165 ECM with a superchip 1987 in it, I just got a ALDL cable with the necessary 10K resistor jumper from ALDLCABLES,
So i loaded the ADS file and converted to ADX in TUNERPRO RT (also converted file in TPRT aswell using tprt to figure out my underlying black smoke/running rough issue, winaldl was not working so i switched to Tunerpro rt "TPRT" ) yeh so here are the files i downloaded

$32B - 1227165 - 32B.xdf - 1227165_160.ads for 1987-88 TPI's

Anyways this error, I connect the ALDL cable to the OBD1 port, connect the 10K jumper, click the Arrows to start the connection, all goes well no flashing DA DATA ERROR, however once i remove the jumper ( following instructions from Tuner Performance's Facebook post )

It starts flashing like 1-2 times a second and i loose all my data stream (Freezes) ?!?? tried setting the Body size DEC to 67 ( which was at 0 ) Got that information from Moates, STILL no luck..

I purchased the ALDL cable to figure out what was wrong with my 350TPI, it's running rough and shooting black smoke...

Also set Latency to 16, then 30 still no luck, also min/max in device manager to 900 still no luck.. tried different drivers, also no luck.. I think that I'm doing something wrong?? OR my ECM must be cooked

someone please help me out here my poor 350TPI has been sitting there for 2 years now, I'm 20 years old and wish to know more about this old truck (1987 Blazer S-10 with a 1987 350TPI swap in it) It ran amazing for a long time then one day poof black smoke and wouldn't idle sorry for the lengthy post i'm honestly stumped

Re: 1227165 350TPI DA DATA ERROR IN TUNERPRO RT!!?!

The 165 can be a bear to connect to, I’ve had better luck with $6e connecting than $32b but have even had to swap ecms before to find one that gives a stable connection. Winaldl is usually easier to setup but you can capture better data from tp.

Does it work if you leave it jumpered? My idle raises by like 200rpm when I have it jumpered, but I can still collect data that way.

I just realized you bought from
aldlcables.com never had luck with them or red devil. Moates Xtreme aldl is the best. For the 165 ecm that is.

Indeed it does work, however i heard it was bad to drive the car with the 10k jumped ( could cause knock ) didn't wanna risk it with the issue i'm having blacksmoke/running rough
