EPROM
EPROM
Hi, I’m after a chip that will allow for air pump delete, EGR valve delete, and cold start delete, I cannot find anyone in UK that can help, so I was hoping a could order one already done.
Thanks Jim

Re: EPROM
It really won’t make to much difference if that’s all that has been deleted you might get a 32 code for egr delete but no horrible running conditions if not addressed in a tune .
Re: EPROM
Of course that can be done, but it's not just a matter of a UV-PROM set up and burned the way you like it. The original DIP needs to be removed and the replacement installed. That can be done with a DIP socket, or a complete new MEMCAL with a socket. I've always just done my own.

Wow, that sounds like a bunch of Greek to me lol!
I guess when I get around to my TPI S10 Blazer build I'll have some learning to do!

I've done this many moons ago but mine didn't turn out that pretty!!! I used a zero insertion force socket with quick release lever instead. If there was no need to preserve the stock tune on the stock EPROM, you could possibly peel the silver sticker off and expose it to good ole Hawaiian sunshine (well in my neck of the woods/beaches) or a much quicker UV eraser. However you would need a adapter/header. ...BUT be FOREWARNED that not all burners can write to the OEM UV erase style EPROMs. APU1/Autoproms and the Burn2 are examples of burners that don't do the UV erase style EPROMs.
You can also use this adapter that bypasses the OE EPROM. In the linked pic, you can see a EEPROM that can be electrically over-written meaning it doesn't require a UV eraser.
You could do a one and done Email ordered tune but if you think you might need the capability or future tunes...what I'm alluding to is explore all your options before you spend your hard earned $$$.

Back in the day, I used Tunercat. I think they are still in business. I'm going back to the Craig Moates era!
