If you're still using the same computer then yes, it "could" make the car run like crap. The ford injectors are rated at a lower fuel pressure so with GM fuel pressure the 19lb injectors will actually flow more like 21lb injectors which will make your car run rich unless you compensate.

Should work just fine then. You might bump the fuel pressure up a couple notches if you have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator.

88, if your car smells like a skidoo, I'd just go ahead and change those inj's right away or you'll end up with gas in your oil. You'll then be asking " what's that knock that I hear along with that gas smell?" Besides, I've been following this to see if I should get those same injectors

What does it mean when the knock sound comes? That doesn't sound like a good sound. I haven't found any gas in my oil but my car does idle a bit weird.Explain the knock to me i have the ski doo smell.

I used the 19 lb ford injectors in my 305 and it ran fine...I didn't adjust the fuel pres. at all. The 165 ECM has an amazing ability to adjust the fuel to get the correct mixture.

If you havea 350...I'd adjust the fuel pres. so that the injectors are flowing about 22 lb. Shouldn't have to bump it up much.

I have no idea why it's idling funky. You might do a leak down test on the fuel system to see if it's losing pres. too quick. Hook a fuel pres. gauge to it. Turn the key on. Let it go up. Shut the key off and see how long it takes to drop. If it drops in a hurry...you have either leaky injectors or a pump with a bad check valve.

Another possibility is that you either didn't seat the injectors properly or tore an O-ring seal...either of which would give you a vacuum leak...

Or its possible you do have bad injectors. However, adjust the fuel pressure first. The engine can adapt a bit, but without adjusting the fuel constant (for both injector banks) in the BIN, then you are forced to deal with a manual solution to your problem.

Good luck.

i haven't put the injectors in yet. What i meant by idling funny was the car will idle nice for about 5 minutes then it will idle low almost to a stall then it will idle back up nice and keep on doin the same thing over and over.
