Has anyone here ever bored their throttle Bodie from 48 to 52mm?

I remember 2 people doing it, and if i remember the cost of it was about $80.00. Anyone here done this? was it worth it? Would a typical machine shop be able to handle the task? So far i've asked 2 shops and both have declined. If i could id probably do it myself but really have no idea

I remember reading someones web page and they went into how they tried to bore their 48mm into a 52mm. I can't remember the specifics but after hours of working on one bore he realized that he wasn't going to get it right with the toold he had and either sent it away for someone else to do or just bought a 52. Basically what I'm trying to say is I wouldn't even attempt to modify the stock one, I'm just buying a 52 from somewhere.

Just my .02

I had a friend do mine locally along with port all my intake and siamese my runners. Mine is an 1986 and he also knife edged the butterflies for more flow there and used flat screws in them. I am very happy with it
