I assume it is basiclly the same as polishing the plenum...? How much time you have into them, look great!

I pretty much did, 80grit(4-5hours on the SLP's the casting is REALLY hard) also don't try using a wire wheel or anything, you'll just end up spending more time because of teh deep scrates it leaves. the 180grit(2hours)then some 340(1hour) then 400wet(about 4 hours) and about an hour of buffing. which inclueds hand buffing for the smaller areas. if anybody has any questions feel free to ask me. I'm still not good at this, but I'll try to help out if I can.

Have you noticed any difference in the colors of the aluminum of those runners and the OEM plenum? I have heard that the different brands of components don't match very well when they are polished up....

I know how much work you have in those runners....I polished my SLP runners the same way. Lots of tedious hours!

Concerning the differances of the colors....mine are 2 differant shades. I think it's from the differant types of alum but I'm not absolutely positive. They both shine...they just have 2 differant hues to them.

I'm sorry.....I've polished metal professionally and in order to get in all the nooks and crannies of a set of SLP siameased runners......going from rough cast (and I mean *rough*!) to fully polished takes just a bit more than 30 minutes each!
