I own a 1988 iroc z 350 tpi i just had ford 19lbs injectors installed because the mechanic at the gm garage said that my fuel injectors were stuck open well when this was all being done i had a new oxygen sensor installed also well the car still smells like gas not as bad but it is still there what else could it be???????

If anything I wouldf think your stock L98 prom would expect 22lb injectors, the 19's would end up running you lean.

 

the car smelled like gas bad and the mechanic said my fuels injectors 1 or many he couldn't tell was stuck open so i had new fuel injectors installed in my car 19lbs fords and new sensor the smell like raw fuel is still there not as bad but its there and i cannot for the life of me figure out how those injectors could possibly make myc ar run rich i figured it would be a bit lean. No codes or anything comes up so i don't know what it is.

 

THE SMELL WAS SO BAD ON MY WIFE'S 90 IROC I THOUGH I HAD RAW FUEL LEAKING OUT THE RAIL. I TRACED IT TO THE CHARCOL CANISTER. I ADDED CLIPS TO THE HOSES ON THE CANISTER AND THE SMELL HAS NEVER RETURNED. I USED THE CLIPS FROM FUEL FILTER HOSES ON A CARBERATORED ENGINE. JUST ANOTHER PLACE FOR YOU TO LOOK.
