Throttle Body and runners question?

I have an 89 Formula with a 305 5sp. I have rebuilt the engine added a cam, headers and exhaust. I was wondering how much or if runners and/or a throttle body would help this car pull to 6000rpm, right now it dies at 4500-5000.

Thanks
Bryan

From: I'm a reasonable man, get off my case.
Unfortunately the LTR design is only gonna max out at about 5500, and even then the power isnt great. If you wanna rev to six grand or higher i recommend the mini ram or an LT1 intake. You could also go the super ram route but that costs $$$$$$.

I just noticed your from Metamora, I'm from Peoria. Welcome to the boards.

Any runner will help some, especially a siamesed type. You'll never get good power on top unless you do some serious work on the siamesed though, it's the physics of the runner length.

A bigger throttle body is a waste of money. Even on an LT4 a 52mm throttle body is a waste of money, and I guarantee that your air requirements are nowhere near as high as an LT4

*Note: I'm backing up my claim from real world info. An LT4 Corvette owner made runs on his bone stock LT4 then on the same bone stock car with a 52mm throttle body. He lost about 2/10 in the 1/4, but he attributed that to track/weather conditions.
