700R4.com?
Hi everyone. Just wanted to know if anyone out there has ever purchased a tranny from 700R4.com. They say that's all they do and their prices seem to be pretty good.

I was thinking about rebuilding my tranny soon but now that I've seen this I might just purchase one from them, plus the fact that they are located an hour from me.
I'd like to here some oppinions from some of the more respected members on this board and see how good these sound to them. They sound good to me put I hardly know crap about trannys.

Anyone here who works on Trannys think these rebuilt trannys that they offer are a fair deal?? I want to know if the price they are charging for these is worth the work they put into them??

Guys,I don't know what kind of power numbers you all are running or planing to run, but if its any kind of power at all I would sugesst looking at www.pro-built.com . I went through two other so called performance 700R-4's before I found out about Pro-built. I'm running 450 HP at the fly wheel and another 150Hp shot of spray and the Pro-built has taken everything I could throw at it without any problems what so ever. Dana, the guy that owns pro-built is great to work with and spends a good amount of time with each of his customers to make sure you get what you want. I have never had any dealings with bowtie overdrive, they may be a good tranny, but all my faith is in the pro-built 700-R4's.
I think it's actually www.pro-built.net and I've heard horror stories about Bowtie Overdrive trannies.

I emailed bowtie overdrives sunday night and by 4:30PM on monday I got a call from them. The stage II 200r4 is rated to 450lb-ft and 500hp. For $1560 you get everything. Lockup kit, TV cable, and bracket kit to correct the TV cable geometry, pressure guage, torque converter with a few different stall options. Everything you need, and the price included shipping from CA to NY. They walk you through the installation, setup, and testing. Once they know everything is set up right, the 1 year warranty starts. This is everything the guy told me yesterday on the phone. I might upgrade to one of their 9.5" converters if it will add durability, but I don't need that much stall, so I'm still not sure about that. They can give you all the specs a lot better than I can, so i suggest calling or emailing. I have a few more big purchases before I order a tranny, so I'm still not %100 decided on who to buy from.
I see that no one has asked me what I have thought (and have seen) about "bow-tie overdrives". You know what I have seen as to B&M, Art Carr, TCI, etc. as to what they have tried to pass on to you as customers/users of their transmissions right!?, why do you think it is any different now? Hype is "hype". Yes, I know Steve & I helped him out a lot in the beginning when he started "Bow-Tie Overdrives", problem though is that he "did not" remain true to "helping out those with 700R4 problems", he became like "Art Carr" selling hype, etc. I have not done this from the beginning, and have done so to this day! If you have any questions on this? You know where I am at.
