Rebuilt 700R4, shift kit?

I just got my car back a few days ago from the shop having the tranny rebuilt. I told them to put in a B&M shift kit but later foudn out those suck, so before they started workign on the tranny i went back and told them to put in a trnasgo. But I dont really feel that much of a difference, shift from 1-2 is a loittle mroe firm but thats it. Ive always been able to manually shift it so i didnt see any difference there either. So how can i tell that i have a shift kit in?

Take the seperator plate out and look at it, transgo will have plugs in it and holes drilled larger. A transgo kit will also have a metal piece in the tv spring about 1/4"x 1 1/4" with a patent number on it.

I put in a B&M shift kit and vette servo when me and my step-dad rebuilt my tranny last nov.
I felt a big difference, and can get a good 2nd gear scratch all day long(even with my grandma 2.73 gears)

I don't know why people dog B&M, they have been around longer then anyone in the bussiness and make good products.

Peace

If you can get rubber all day long with 2.73's, something is wrong. It should get rubber at WOT only, anything less is to hard on the gear train. They (B&M) haven't had a good product (transmission parts upgrades) since 1977. I have torn down several dozen (50+) of these units (B&M) over the years and you would not believe me if I told you "what was not" in them, the parts breakage being No.1, input shaft, input drum, sun shell, output shaft, etc. you want "accumulated shifts" on the 1-2 & 2-3 shift if you want this transmission to live.

Well my foot iz a little heavy, but hey I like the way it feels when it shifts.
My stepdad built my transmission and he's a 3rd generation transmission builder and knows how I wanted it and my mods I plan on down the road.

Its all personal opinion on what kind/brand parts you use on YOUR car, thats why AMERICA iz so great.

You may be a little disappointed to know that you can get a B&M shift feel by stacking 3/8 nuts in the accumulators (they do it with spacers) and by drilling a few holes larger in the seperator plate. Same shift feel ...big price difference.
I personally can't stand the feel of a blocked second accumulator, not to mention how dangerous it is on wet roads.
America is great .....B&M sucks...to each his own.

Price? You mean free.

Its funny how people dog other people for what they choose to do too THEIR cars.
We are here to help eachother not diss them.
You might not like what I do to my car, But who carez.

I grew up in the 80's and back them B&M was the shít, Ive been using their products for yearz.
And when it comes to price, I get the best deal around cause I am the partz guy.

Peace

Maybe B&M, maybe the feel their $hit kits give a transmission.
Here I'll Dog you now, learn how to spell, when the hell do words start ending with a z? You're a ****ing retard, parts guy, stealing **** from where you work, free? no, not legally. **** you and your B&M ****. They should give **** away, was it in the dumpster.
