Turbo 350 swap ?

My son is swappin' his 700r4 for a th350. Who makes a good shift kit and is a reverse shift pattern available(anything special have to be done with the shifter,it's a hurst rachet) ? The car is not a daily driver and is at the drag strip a couple times a month.
Also, what has to be done to the speedo drive ? We've already got the tc,conv.kit and driveshaft. Anything else we missed ?

Thanks,
Brad

Did you get an adapter for the torque arm or is that already taken care of? I cannot remember the name of the company but there is a place that makes a converter box for a cable speedo to electronic and vise versa. Can anybody remember its name? Oh yeah, cheetah makes a reverse valvebody with a trans brake.

I'm thinkin' with a reverse pattern the last shift is thrd, with a std. pattern you could hit ntrl.

The B&M conv. kit takes care of the torque arm.

On Pro-Builts website he shows two trans-go shift kits. One for a th350C and one for a th350 ????

The input shaft of a lockup tranny has an o-ring on it. A regular
TH350 has splines to the end of the input shaft and no o-ring.
Check out a picture of a lockup converter at:

Why do you want a speedo on a "strip only" car?

The only way to get a reverse pattern is to install a reverse pattern valve body. Shift reprogram kits will not change the shift pattern.
Shifters don't care if it's forward or reverse pattern. Just change the indicator numbers around. Instead of PRN321 you want PRN123. You're going to have to make sure the shifter is locked out of 4 speed mode. Since you're going to a 3 speed tranny you don't want to be able to shift into one more gear or it could break parts. Usually it's something simple like a stop bolt inside the shifter that needs to be added to prevent it from going into that extra gear.
