What clutch do you guys recommend??
My clutch is kinda shot, I'm curious about what kinds you guys are running, and what seems to be the best? Jegs sells the Hays kits for a pretty reasonable price, how are they? Thunder racing also has the Star clutches, but I'm not sure if they come with pressure plates. The 305 is stock right now and I will probably only do bolt on type stuff and maybe exhaust so I don't need a monster of a clutch but I definitely want something better then stock. Thanks.
Hi,
I'm on my third clutch. I blew the original stock clutch raping a 5.0.
Second clutch was another replacement, even worse than my stock one. Right now I'm on my third. Its a Centerforce DF. Holds very well. With only 200 miles on it I managed to rape an LS1 Z28 not once but twice by half a car. Sorry it was a lil' off topic. Other people have their own opinions and personal experience with it. So far so good on my Centeforce.

Oh...and break in your clutch.

Another vote for the Centerforce DF.5,000 plus miles on it with plenty of launches with drag radials and slicks with no slippage as of yet.BREAK IT IN.I can't stress this enough to aid in long clutch life.

I also am very happy with the Centerforce Dual Friction.
Installed it with my new crate motor in December.
14,000 miles so far and feels like new.

The centerforce dual friction rocks! i've had a stock, hays, BW, and dual friction. It offers the best quality feel with a great linear engagement. Its the lightest peddel and easiest to drive smoothly. It also locks up solid you can chirp gears without even powershifting. I just put an 11inch behind my 383, with a tremec tko. I love it
