T56, now car wont start

T56, now car wont start

i tried starting my IROC last night after we did the swap and it just turns, it wont start. hooked up a fuel pressure gauge and got nothing. anybody know why? we took off the fuel pump relay in the process but we checked that and it is on correctly. can anyone help?

does the FP run? shouldn't be anything about the swap to matter with the FP, unless you knocked a wire off or soemthing. did you check the oil preasure sender to the pump?

you said you have no fuel pressure right? If that is the case then, first thing I would check is to see if the pump is working. If not, I would get out a multimeter, and see if it is getting power.

If not, then I would probably check things to do with the relay since you mentioned that you tinkered with it. Check connections etc. If nothing pans out there, then I would check to see possibly if you may have crimped a fuel line or something, when moving the tranny into place.

If that doesn't work, then ???? - have to think some more for a bit.

If the neutral safety switch was'nt hooked up,it usually would'nt turn over

If I remember right, it was the two heavy wires on the shifter. I think there were 6 wires on the old shifter, backup lights, netrual saftety, and power hatch if you had that option.

my car had the plug taped up under the dash, for the switch, the wires are purple and yellow
