T5 Case - same for V6 and V8's???

I need a new case for my T5. The section where the fill and drain plugs are. I'm wondering if anyone knows if this section is the same between v6 and v8 cars. How about mustang tranny's. I know they used T5's as well. I know there Input shaft is different but is the case the same?

THanks for the help.

The 6 and 8 cyl cases are the same...at least between NWC trans... I found a case at the scrap yard that was in beautiful shape...$1/pound = $5 ! (no, there arent any more)
It was off a 6 cyl (6 cyl countershafyt was still there), but i dont know if it was GM or other.

If the cases are the same, why won't a T-5 from a 6cyl. work on a V-8 engine?

Cause the v6'rs have gears setup for a v6. You would destroy the 6er in a few passes with a v8 behind it.
