Too much boost?

I have had problems ever since I installed my transgo shift kit. It wont stay in 1st or downshift into 1st at more than 1/4 throttle.
Wont shift from 2nd to 3rd at WOT and it wont down shift from 4th to 3rd at WOT

The guy at transgo said that it sounds like a pressure problem, either that the filter is clogged, bad seal, low fluid or if the trans was rebuilt there maybe a failsafe that prevents higher pressure.

I have installed 2 new filters, 2 new seals, repeatedly checked fluid level, even overfilled a bit

So now I am thinking of taking out the .5 boost valve set up and replace it with the stock one.

Anyone else hear of this? I am not certain if the trans was rebuilt but I have only owned the car for 3 years. And there was a gold grade 10 bolt in the aux valve body, while the rest were black grade 9.6 bolt. So maybe it was at least partially rebuilt?

The gold grade bolt is normal, it has the clamp on it also right? Holds the tube down?

Just had a 700r4 apart recently. Same thing.

Here is the bottom line: If you are going to take on Transmission work you will have to get the right tools to do it. Go buy a good (RE: Snap-On) 0-300 PSI Pressure Gauge and attach it to the port on the drivers side of the Tranny. You will need a 90 or 45 degree 1/8 pipe tap elbow to hook it up. You are wasting your time guessing and throwing questions up W/O the absolutely mandatory information. When you do, follow this procedure: Take ALL readings (Park-Man1) at Idle, Fast Idle, and Fast Idle W/TV pulled full. Post them. Also look at TV Response. It should look as if you have a string attached to the gas pedal going to the Trans. It should move INSTANTLY. Lastly, note what happens on the gauge when the problem occurs. Post all findings. If there is a pressure problem or some missassembly it should show up. Then we can help you.

Well I guess I should have checked on here before I did anything, I just swapped out the new boost valves for the old. If this doesn't work I'll hook up the pressure gauge but the line is only about 1' long.

Well I test drove it after putting the stock boost valves in it tonight and nothing changed. I did however notice a strange noise. It sounded like it was coming from the shifter/ashtray as though something was rattling. But then I realized it was coming from underneath where the trans was, it sounds somewhat like when a speedometer gets on\ld and it makes a noise kinda like plastic gears grinding. I was thinking it may be a leak and that air was getting into the trans somehow somewhere and that this was the source of my problem

And the noise got more prominat as the RMPs went up, I couldn't really hear it under 2k. at 3k it was fairly noticeable at at 4k it was very prominant. I'll see if I can get a way to get that pressure gauge hooked up too.
