Transmission: T-5
Axle/Gears: 3:42 LS1 Posi
Switching rears...can someone double check me

I'm switching from a 3.23 to 3.42 rear in my 85Z with a t5. My question has to do with the speedometer gearing. I think I've got it worked out but I would like someone to double check me before I begin.

Currently in car: Purple drive (7T) (16T) Driven

Corrected: Purple drive (7T) White Driven (19T)

I also heard that a 6T drive / 16T driven would be best but requires removal of the tranny. By the way, the old 3.23 is for sale, it is open with drum brakes.

Removal of the tranny is not needed, but it is more involving than the 700R-4. Here is a link that will guide you through the process:
