t5 nightmare

t5 nightmare

help me please....i purchased a t5 that was supposed to be a plug and play tranny.....i reciently did an automatic to a manual swap...the delimma i am having is the torque arm mount wont mount up to the tranny...the bottom 2 holes on the transmission are farther apart than the holes on the torquearm mount that i have......the tranny came out of a 88 iroc or so they say.....and the stud that sticks off the torque arm mount wont sit flush to the tranny(also as you can see none of the holes line up either....) please help me my car hasnt run in almost a year and i want to drive it before new years

Axle/Gears: STRANGE ENG. 12 BOLT 3:90 SPOOL
the automatic and manual torque arm mounts are different .there is also a differece between v6 and v8 mounts

well for your info my friend had a t5 and we used my 700r4 torque arm mount on it and i have used them universaly before thats wahy this is so weird

you NEED the torque arm mount from a T5

the auto torque arm mount will not fit a T5

go to wrecking yard or post parts wanted on classifieds

you need a T 5 mount

82Z28, I'm looking for the same parts and got a parts break out form gm. 82-83 M.T. and A.T are same parts. 84-90 Are different for the M.T. and A.T. Hope this helps alittle.
