Verifying an actual T-5 from a wreckage yard.

Looking to exchange the 4-spd man. (not sure what kind it is) in my 84 Iron Duke Camaro for a T-5. Are there some type of #'s on one that I should be looking for to verify that it's an actual T-5?

Forgot to ask.....anyone know if a Mustang T-5 shifter differs from that of a Camaro?

Thanks,
Brandon

Rule of thumb to spot a T-5:

If a 10 year old packs it out to the truck for you by himself it's a T-5.

Seriously though, once you see one you'll be able to spot them, no other 5 speed looks like them that I'm aware of (IIRC) and they're small, 65 lbs small.

The code on the metal tag can be looked up to determine the original application.
