Grinding Into Reverse!?!?
Ok people, i just did my T-5 swap, and about 5 miles of driving after i got done blew my hydraulic line. So i got the parts and replaced all of that. and now, my clutch doesnt seem to be catching as close to the floor as it did, and it grinds into reverse 50% of the time. Any ideas as to what the culprit may be? If the hydraulic fluid got on the flywheel or clutch assembly after it blew up, would that mess anything up? Or would it just burn off after a few miles. I've been driving it the past 3 days with no major problems besides the grinding into reverse and the delayed catching- please help me people-- its so close to being perfect!!:hail:

in every t5 equipped car u must go to a forward gear like 4th to stop all the gears in teh trany from moving, then u can go to reverse. its cause reverse is not a synchronized gear

I actually have to come to a full stop, put it in 1st gear, barely let the clutch out just to let the car roll like 1", then it slides right into reverse..any other way, and i'm in for a grinding. lol
