can my tranny take the trq?

HITHERE have an 87 th-2004r tranny with HITHERE 283 making about 300ft lbs of trq. HITHERE think HITHERE found HITHERE 400 block HITHERE want to put in. it will probably make HITHERE little above 400ft lbs. can the th-2004r take it? it wont be raced, only street driven. HITHERE need it to last HITHERE few years.

also, will HITHERE shift kit help it take HITHERE little more?

Yes it will work fine if you don't get it it all the time. The 87 is the best of the th200-4r's. I wish i had one!!
