You'll save a ton of money if you buy it all from a trans builder or on ebay.

Well I work at a GM dealer as a tech so I can get the parts at a pretty decent price. I would just like the numbers so I can make it alot easier on my parts manager when I go to order all the stuff.

If you work at a GM dealer, wouldn't you also have the P/N books at your disposal?

I work as a tech and not in the parts department so I dont deal with that end of it for one. All I wanted to know was the part number so I could just go and order it and be done with it but I guess Ill have to lkook it up since you arent going to be any help. I just thought since there are alot of people on here with them in their trannies someone could help me out since thats what this site is supposed to be for.

It consists of two parts, the housing-pt#8673039, and the piston-pt#8642079. You will also need a new O-ring for the cover and I think an O-ring for the housing. It is not a bad idea to get a couple of O-rings for the cover, in case you have to take the cover back off. They usually get messed up during removal.

True, but the whole point of my post was that if he did work at a dealer that didn't have the P/N books (or access to them), I'd be a little skeptical of that dealer... that's all.

Well we do have access to the books along with the GM computers to access part numbers but you need to at least know the year of the car the trans and so on. I just figured this way would be easier since alot of guys already have them and may know the numbers off hand.I just dont want to walk up to my parts manager and hassle him while hes being paid to help customers with one of my little problems and cost him time to look it up. .

I do thank you 1990GTA for the info and the numbers for the parts I need. I did find an article on another site about this and it tells about the install and everything. I do however would like the seal numbers if anyone has them off hand, if not no big deal I can have my parts manager look them up since the servo numbers should lead him to an exploded veiw and he can go from there.

Thanks to all who hav helped me out in this I cant wait to get this all done so I can take the car back to the track with a trans that shifts alot better.
