Whats the best trans. for 500hp

hey guy im new at this racing building stuff and im getting a motor built by Kotzu racing head in San Antonio, tx. My question is the motor is going to come out putting out 500hp +, i got a stock 700r4 with sift kit, but i know thats not going to last so im just going to use that just to start up the motor and MAYBE cruz it and baby it. What time of transmssions out there are able to handle 500+ hp, I was think TCi streetfighter but thats rated at 450, any ideas will be great, thanks guys.

a built 4L60E would take that. I know a guy with a '95 TA that makes near 700 rwhp.

A Tremec TKO could handle that, or a T56 on a fresh rebuild. TH350 or TH400 will work good too, you'd never have a problem wirh them if they are built correctly. 4L60E will work as well or a Pro-built 700R4 (Dana really does know his stuff and he specializes in 700r4's).

Muncie M22 heavy duty close ratio four speed. But good luck, lol... they are quite rare, and the price says that!!

I think a Turbo 400 is best... if built right, you'll never break it. You could throw it off a bridge onto the highway and it would still work

You can also give Dana a call at Pro-built and talk to him. I'm sure he would be happy to help you out with a decision, and since he builds them he would know which one would best suit your needs.

Ok so it's $5500 if you're a "jobber" but it's really cool.
