Fact or Fiction?
Fact or Fiction?
ok so i was reading the haynes manual...on the toilet.....good crapper book, not that anyone needed to know that......anyways.....i stumbled across a section on rear ends...no pun intended....and read that the 91 and 92's --camaros-- came with only TWO rear ends, one being 3.23 non posi, and 2.73 posi.....
True??
would make sense why i can spin tires from a stand still
91 rs very moded.

.) So the whole "only 2 rears" thing is definitely shot down. Also, "Positraction" a.k.a. posi is nothing more than a fancy GM name for limited slip.

My 91z came with posi 2.73 rear/drum brakes. I think in 91-92 you could still get the g92 option? I dont know I bent an axle and put a 4thgen rear in.

im posting from a 233Mhz 16MB of ram POS computer. video card is something built on the motherboard
it works just fine.
ive had a few (very few) people on other msg boards tell me similar things... athough ive found that their computers suck with ANY animated gifs...
every animated gif i make and post is as compressed optimised as possible... its not really my sig, but your PC.

you know what? i was kooking around today on the internet today and found a site called musclecarclub.com. i think that was the name. anyway, they have a list of different differentials. they list limited slip and positraction as two different (although they sound pretty close to me)differentials.
oops, i was wrong. and as for me saying positive locking, i meant the only way to have a positive lock between axles is a spool or lockers. (or you can weld the spider gears
) i should have specified that.i just kinda mixed positraction and lockers together and confused myself. sorry
