how do you add trans fluid?

I own a 1987 Chevy Camaro V6. The car has an automatic transmission and i checked the transmission fluid after it has been driven, in park while idling and it said it said "Add one pint". my question is where do i add more transmission fluid? Thanks a lot.

DONT overfill it. it will cause more damage then good..... and its hard to take fluid out without just draining the whole thing....

I believe the dipstick works the same way as the oil it should be fairly self explanitory, I think you want to check it when the tranny is warm, and my mechanic told me to shift through P N O/D D 2 1 a few times before checking it. I wouldn't add a whole quart unless it was fairly low, its alot easier to add more than it is to take it out.

Isn't the car suppose to be idling too while you check it?

yeah that is the jist of it chris. the two manuals i have used in the past haynes and chiltons say that the tranny/engine should be warm opperating temp and idling while checking fluid level.
