Disc-Brakes now no E-Brake

I bought my car with 4 wheel discs in her. The rear end is aparently out of a GTA year????. Anywho I'm sure the ebrake cable is the stock outta my 1988 Camaro. However it is just sitting there not hooked up. How might I get the ol' E_Brake working. This is my first Camaro, and I have only basic car knowledge and I was relying on my dad to help me but he went insane (Not joking) and now hes gone away in some clinic. So here I am stuck by myself. Trying to fix my car. This and the Altenator.. omg.. the altenator.. Ill get pics its crazy what this guy did to this car. anyway I need some help with the E-Brake first. But While im here anyone have a pic of where and how the altenator on a 350 carbed should be sittin?

The e-brake cables are a different length for the drum and disc rears.. If your car originally had the drum brakes in the back, then those cables will probably not work.. When I did a drum-disc conversion, I got the appropriate cables for a car with rear disc (just the two after the equalizer).. Everything else was fine (the cables hook up the same and everything)...

You've got what looks like an early 60s short waterpump accessory setup.

Looks like your heads have no holes for accessory brackets... That would date the engine quite a bit (as far as how old it is), not sure when they started drilling the appropriate holes in the cyl. heads...

no, its not bad, you just have no air pump or a/c, just an alternator on the top right and a power steering pump bottom right

edit: by the way, shouldnt the mod move this to the brakes forum? youll get more help there

not really... the only problem you're going to have is that when you goto get a new alt or waterpump or whatever, you really should bring in the old one and find one that matches.
because what the computer is going to bring up will be incorrect.

luckily though, the alt brackets im seeing there are pretty common.. and GM kept the same style alt for so long that you shouldnt have a issue.... matter of fact, the ones you see in Summit should work....

same with the water pump.... while it wont be stock, it is pretty easy to find...

Well maybe someone can help me with my Alt. The bracket attaches where the headers are. and the adjust bracket goes on the engine, down by the steering pump. But... The adjuster bracket is obviously the wrong one because the bracket is bent over the top of the alt, and has actually worn a groove in the fan blades of the Alt, so when I buy a new Alt, can someone give me an example of the type of bracket I will be needing for my engine??

heres your problem.... you dont have the accessory bolt holes in the heads....

without them, you cannot attach most modern production style brackets.... thats why you have a wierd setup to begin with...

heres two pics to show what you're missing:

So do I need to get these things drilled out... Or... I only need to attach the altenator.. Can I find something that will work, perhaps I can get a shorter belt so the bracket doesn't have to hit the fan blades.... good idea??
