question for those with tranny cooler
Where did you mount it. I was going to mount mine in front of the radiator, but it uses cable tie type straps to mount it and you have to stick them through both radiators I guess. Does this seem right? where else could I mount it?

I removed my AC stuff on my '87 IROCZ, with that I removed the AC condenser which was mounted on the front side of the radiator.
I mounted the tranny cooler where the condenser was, no problem mounting thru the radiator with those stick type nylon ties and pads.

I put mine on the condensor (only had to poke through one core), then when the AC stuff when in the dumpster, the cooler went on the radiator.

My cooler looks very similar to the one on the other thread. I havent hooked up the lines yet but I attached the cooler to the cross brace like you see in the one picture. This allows about 1/2" space between the cooler and the AC condensor, and I didn't have to go through both condenser and radiator. I don't know how you would only go through the condenser and get those little tie thingys on between the radiator and the condensor. I attached it with regular cable ties. They look at least as strong as the ones that came with the unit, by the way that look exactly the same as in the picture, the heads being little brown squares. I will take a picture and see what you think. The location is great, centered on the condensor, with good space between it and the condensor. The only worry is if the cable ties will be sufficient.

My trans cooler is mounted on the brace for the nose of the car. I didn't want it too close to the condenser because I didn't want to block cool air to any part of the condensor/radiator. I also hard-lined it instead of using the rubber hoses.

I'm looking at buying a trans cooler but I looked at my radiator and there doesnt look like enough room to mount it between the fans and the radiator. Any ideas?
