I think my brother in law goofed up when he reinstalled his clutch on his t-5 and when he starts it, it grinds nasty. It isn't the starter we checked that, sparks are flying out from the bottom of the bellhousing....any ideas?

From: out of my mind; be back in 5 minutes....
Car: 1989 Firebird Formula
Engine: Internal Combustion
Transmission: Completed
Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
Clutch disc is in backwards, or the throwout bearing was put on the fork backwards.
At any rate, it's gotta come back apart to find/fix whatever the problem is. It should be pretty apparent what the problem is when it gets dis-assembled.
