g-force t-5 syncronized t-5 kit

g-force t-5 upgrade kit...
Has anyone ever used this kit in their t-5's? if so what 1/4 time does your car run/weight/60'. I'm trying to get a idea of what kind of power this kit is capable of.
I've also heard before that part of the problem with t-5's is that the case flexes which throws the gear contact out of alignment Is there any truth to this? Thanks for any info!

Just read in some magazine today that their base kit is capable of 425lb-ft of torque and their upgraded one is good for 475lb-ft.

ok lets just quote then

Normally the stock T-5 is rated at about 300 ft-lb of torque capacity. While this is fine for stock or lightly modified engine combinations, especially running small street tires, it isn't generally enough for most of today's high powered street/strip engine combinations, especially those running bigger, more aggressive tires. This is where the G-Force T-5 kit comes into play. Although we do not like to put torque or horsepower ratings on our products due to the vast differences in clutch, engine, chassis, tire, and mounting combinations, we can give a very rough estimate. There are simply too many variables to consider when trying to figure out how much power or torque a transmission will take in a particular application. Generally, it can be assumed that with the available upgraded mainshaft, the G-Force T-5 kit will handle roughly 600 hp or 500 ft-lb. or torque in a 3300 lb. vehicle running drag radials at the track with a moderate clutch upgrade. Obviously this is just a rough estimate regarding the power and torque handling capability, but it should give some idea as to what the G-Force T-5 kit will handle in your particular application.
500ft-lbs of torque.

You better email or call them yourself for their recommendation and I'm sure they will recommend their top kit for over 400lb-fts. but that they still use the same mainshaft in all three kits which is good for 500ft-lbs.

Ok so I had the numbers mixed up. Main point I was making was that their website had the numbers.

Just out of curiosity, how much does the kit cost? I will be putting a T-5 in my new 88 GTA project car soon, and might be interested.
