im not sure about that, i hear u can take a v8 T5 bellhousing and use it on a v6 T5, but then there might be the issue of spline count, clutch size

Yes, you need the V8 bellhousing and flywheel, the disc will either have to be an improperly sized one from an 84 V6, as they were avail 9 11/16 rather than 9 1/8 like the newer ones, or you can get one made in the stock V8 diameter, some of them have a longer stub on the input shaft where it goes into the pilot, which you may need to grind down, i've had both ones that worked fine, and one that I had to pull the trans just to fix the problem, so grind it first to be safe.

- Anyone replying after this post with a "no" or a "i dont think it will work" can come to tampa, bring $500 to bet, and we'll put my 92 Z28 on the lift here and see whats in there.

wooooh betting! nah, you can get it to fit, but for the time and money involed you can just find a nice used t-5 made for a v8. ive seen used t-5s with everything made to convert go for 300-500

The betting is cause im tired of every idiot on the boards saying it cant work, and you'd be hard pressed to find a fully complete, working order WC T5 kit for 300-500, he'd be looking at a much smaller bill for the stuff to use his existing transmission.

It will fit, but I dont think the V6 version is anywere near as strong as the V8 version... and the V8 version isn't exactly bulletproof.

When I said kit, i wasnt referring to installation, im talking about a complete setup down to all the bolts, not missing anything, or something broken being pawned off on some unsuspecting person.

The inside of the V6 T5 World Class is exactly the same as the V8 one. The only difference is the input shaft. I have interchanged V6 and V8 parts before and have had no problems. There is no difference. At least there's no difference between the 91 and 92 models.

Several years I put a v8 in a 91 rs v6 5 speed car. We used a V8 bell housing V8 clutch diaphragm, bought a clutch disk for 86 S-10 blazer 4x4 does it work.. Hmm .. When my neighbor drives it home from work tonight I will ask him how it is.. That low fist gear is nice!!
