POS 700r4 has bad shift points need suggestions
I just finished getting my 340hp 350 to run right and now Ive finally realized what ****ty shift points the 700r4 has. It shifts hard but seem like it cant make up its mind at what rpm it wants to shift at and i dont even like the way it shifts is there anything i can buy or do to adjust shifting or buy a 98-02 Fbody trans (will it fit bolt pattern?) beacuse they shift VERY right for my tastes but thats alot of money. Also when i did the motor swap the trans had no wires connected to it i thought they were partially computer controlled??

Thats a governor valve issue then. That ones not so easy and will require some valve body examination and mods. Better take it to a reputable performance tranny shop or just shift manually.
