Which axle is it? '87 LB9+MM5+WS6+J65

'87 Formula, LB9, J65, WS6, MM5, 3.45 posi ratio.

I'm told this is the sturdy (a little, at least) Australian axle... could it be?

What's the upper limit on hp with this one?

If you have a 3:45 ratio then it is a BW 9-Bolt. The limit is when you abuse it by being dumb with a stock car.

Look at the cover.

Count the bolts.

It will have either 9 or 10. The B-W (Australian) rear is the 9-bolt.
