I had the same problem with one I did about 5 years ago!... The pressure regulator where you put the spring in, then the piston, and have to hold it there while you put the C-clip in had fallen out... I'm pretty sure you know which piece I'm talking about, 'cause it's a pain in the *** to get in. Problem was, the C-clip that came with the kit was too thick, and didn't seat in the groove right!. I reused the old one, and got reverse back!! I hope this helps you out... Sucks to waste all that fluid! I had trick shift in mine

Yes that will do it. While you have the clip out double check your PRV valve assembly to make sure its correctly assembled most of the time it will fall out anyway if the clip comes loose.
Shift kit time is always a good time to install a $6 drain plug.

I'm almost too embarassed to say what was wrong with mine!
I left out the reverse boost sleeve and valve. In my defense, the transmission has been sitting apart for about 6 months, and the last 700 I had apart was about 4 or 5 months ago. I had gotten to the point where I was in a hurry to finish the build, and overlooked that one little thing! The TV boost sleeve (aftermarket with o-rings) was a PITA to get back out without the spring pressure pushing it out! I finally found a magnet strong enough to do the job, but I still had to work it in and out to get it out!
I guess this just backs up the need for attention to detail, and double checking EVERYTHING!
My next problem is with the TCC wiring being different, and 1-2 shift seems to happen too quick. All else seems fine!
